Experience Profile and How It Relates to This Role
I am a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years of experience in Auditing and the NGO sector, particularly in financial accounting, reconciliations and reporting. I have been a member of Carecoop for over seven (7) years and alive to the challenges members face. Being a Savings and Investment Advocate, I have vast experience in this area and am equipped with relevant skills to contribute to the efficiency, growth and visibility of our cooperative for effective policy direction through Board representation.

I am action oriented, innovative, interactive, a savings and investment advocate, a marketer, a crowd puller and am very open to learning. The satisfaction of Shareholders and Members is my priority.
Working as a team player, I intend to understand the challenges faced by the secretariat regarding the timely updating of monthly member contributions and loan repayments and be part of the solution.
Monthly reconciliations are very important in financial management, being our core business. There's need to review the current system for possible bottlenecks and together (Secretariat with the Board) find a solution to the lapses as a matter of urgency.
I will propose deliberate strategies that can be used to capture staff members for various Member Organisations who are not yet members of Carecoop and market the cooperative to other potential Member Organisations for growth. I will champion the visibility agenda working as a team (Board and Staff).
We are in business and growth is inevitable for value addition accruing to members through increased profits, interest on savings and dividends for shareholders.
