Experience Profile and How It Relates to This Role

Currently, as the Head of the Strategic Information Department at CIDRZ, I bring over seven years of experience in leading the department's strategic initiatives and managing information systems. My role involves a significant emphasis on data-driven decision-making and strategic planning, skills that are critical within cooperative structures.

Before my tenure at CIDRZ, I was a Senior Software Developer at Palladium (formerly FuturesGroup) for two years. Here, my work focused on developing systems to collect and analyse information on services provided to orphans and vulnerable children. This project required a meticulous approach to data handling and analysis, skills that are directly applicable to decision-making processes in a cooperative environment.

Preceding my position at Palladium, I worked at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) for over three years as a Senior Software Developer. A highlight of my time there was my involvement in the development of a National Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. The project honed my skills in handling large-scale data and systems management, foundational for understanding complex systems and operations.

With a background in software development and strategic leadership, I am well-equipped to contribute to the CareCoop. My experience with technology-driven solutions and strategic oversight provides me with a unique perspective beneficial for innovative financial planning, effective member engagement, and streamlined operations within a cooperative framework. My expertise is particularly valuable in steering technological innovations and strategic decision-making to align with the cooperative's financial goals and member needs.

What You Intend to Bring to the Board

I will prioritise financial well being of our membersthat is by continually advocating for competitive interest rates and personalised financial solutions for our members.

My background in computing and leading a very innovative team, I will ensure that we have more efficient processes for effective running of the coop.

Forster transparency and accountability. Members of the coop need to feel valued, heard and fully engaged in the decision making process. My own experiences, and skin-in-the-game on this issue will ensure it is one of my top priorities.

Actively support the coop’s diversification agenda. I will strongly support the coop’s effort to be a sustainable coop, safeguarding the members’ financial being, one that adapts with the economic landscape ensuring long term prosperity for our members.

The coop staff need to be valued, their needs and challenges addressed. I will ensure that the drivers for the coop’s competitiveness, the members of staff, are appreciated, given opportunities for growth which should translate into an efficient, productive and well functioning coop.
