Experience Profile And How It Relates To This Role

I am a strategic leader with extensive experience improving how organizations work, grow, and deliver value to their employees, clients, funders, and partners.

In my current role, I work closely with senior leadership, auditors, regulators, and development partners to strengthen efficiency, accountability, and performance in a large, complex organization. My work focuses on making systems more efficient and seeking new funding opportunities.

Alongside my professional work, I have hands-on experience managing and growing private enterprises in Zambia, including business planning, cost control, investment decisions, and long-term growth strategy. This has given me a strong appreciation of member value, financial discipline, and sustainable growth. These are the same principles that are critical for a successful cooperative.

This experience directly aligns with the role of Board Chair, which requires clear leadership, good governance, and a strong focus on efficiency, growth, and member value

What You Intend To Bring to the Board

If elected as Board Chair, I will focus on:

  • Efficiency for growth: improving systems, processes, and decision-making so the cooperative can grow sustainably without unnecessary costs
  • Value for members: ensuring that products, loans, and investments genuinely benefit members and protect their long-term interests
  • Strategic asset growth: exploring safe and wellgoverned investment opportunities to grow the cooperative’s asset base over time
  • Member-centred leadership: keeping members informed, listened to, and at the centre of board decisions

My commitment is to help Care Coop grow stronger, more efficient, and more valuable for every shareholder now and in the future
