Experience Profile and How It Relates to This Role
I have over 15 years of working experience on managing grant aided partnerships as well as support access to finance through micro finance projects and promotion of savings groups and SACCOs. My role has entailed having oversight on governance issues and prudential utilisation of resources.
The last has 7 years has been in the areas of business development support for financing and supporting Savings Cooperatives (SACCOs), Micro Finance Institutions and Banks loans in loan product development or adaptation on the Supply side. Currently, I am the lead on the partnership between a bank and farmer organisation developing digital financial product (designing incentivized loan and savings products).
Additionally, my work with SACCOs has been on provision of technical assistance both at Board, Management and member (client) level which has given me valuable insight on what affects products uptake from different angles.
